The short version

We collect what we need to deliver your weekly brief and process your payment. We don't sell your data. We don't share your target account list with anyone. Briefs go to your personal email only — not an employer inbox.

1. What we collect

  • Account information: name, personal email address, company, role, territory.
  • Intake submissions: target account list, vertical, geography, goals.
  • Payment metadata: handled by Stripe. Scout never stores your card number or banking credentials.
  • Site analytics: minimal, aggregated page traffic and referral data. No cross-site tracking pixels.

2. What we do with it

  • Deliver your weekly briefs to your personal email.
  • Process payments and send billing receipts.
  • Respond to support and account requests.
  • Maintain our internal research methodology (improvements derived from brief production are retained in aggregated, non-identifying form only).

3. What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't share your target account list with other Scout customers or any third party.
  • We don't deliver briefs to employer-controlled email domains. Scout briefs are for the individual rep.
  • We don't run ad-tech or cross-site behavioral tracking on this site.

4. Service providers

Scout uses a small set of vendors to operate the service: Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS and email routing), and a transactional email provider for brief delivery. Each is bound by its own terms and handles only the minimum data necessary to perform its function.

5. Research data

Information inside each weekly brief is sourced from publicly available records. Scout does not access non-public systems, use deceptive credentials, or circumvent technical access controls to produce briefs.

6. Retention

Account and intake data is retained while your subscription is active and for up to twelve (12) months after cancellation for billing, tax, and legal-records purposes, then deleted on request. Payment records may be retained longer as required by applicable law.

7. Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account information at any time by emailing marco@scoutbriefing.com. Where applicable law (including state privacy laws) grants you additional rights, we honor them.

8. Security

Scout stores intake and account data on encrypted managed infrastructure and limits internal access to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users promptly in the event of a material breach.

9. Children

Scout is a B2B service for working sales professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and notify active subscribers by email.
